CAMP FUNDRAISING - SEND DOANTIONS TO: Camp Lemieux is a Christian Camp run by the Catholic Church and is situated 52 km southwest of Swift Current on the the west shore of Lac Pelletier. Camp Lemieux was founded over 50 years ago and was originally supported mainly by the Knights of Columbus. Children of all denominations are accepted at Camp Lemieux. The Councelors hired by the camp, are young adults and well versed in sprituality, which they pass on to the young campers in an exciting and personal way. The camp also hires a full time cook and maintenance person and are supported with a great volunteer group from the CWL and Knights of Columbus from the southwest area. There is an excellent sponsorship program which provides funds for families who require assistance in sending their children to camp. The camp is open to children from ages 8 to 14 and runs for about 7 weeks (from July 1 to late August). Camp Lemieux can accommodate 72 campers per day; approximately 400 to 500 young campers attend every year. |
